Following the foundation of the Eta fund, the Board of Directors of the Company has chosen once again to support two foundations involved in the care of children and young people, with the aim of promoting and accelerating their collaboration in the field of disability care.
The “Gaetano e Mafalda Luce” Foundation was founded in 2003 with the aim of providing support to families and children with autism.
Through the Mafalda Luce Centre in Milan, the Foundation promotes the development of and collaboration with other associations dedicated to providing therapeutic support to people with intellectual disabilities and to supporting their families.
The Mafalda Luce Centre in Milan hosts the Semi-Residential Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Centre (CTRS), managed by the Renato Piatti Onlus Foundation. Since 2000, the Renato Piatti Foundation has supported approximately 450 people with intellectual disabilities, operating through 16 centres in Lombardy and employing over 500 professionals and volunteers.
Forma Onlus, specialized pediatric centre of national importance and a reference point for many children with serious conditions from other regions of Italy and abroad.
Together with the Sant’Anna Obstetric and Gynecological Hospital and its affiliated university clinics, the Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital is a reference point for the metropolitan population of Turin, as well as for patients at the regional and national levels, and is considered the largest maternal and child healthcare centre in Europe.
The Foundation was established in 2005 through the initiative of a group of families to support the hospital and make it more child-friendly.
For a period of 5 years from the Start of Operations, the Fund donates a percentage of the Total Amount Subscribed to the Gaetano e Mafalda Foundation in Milan and the Forma Onlus Foundation in Turin.
