Following the foundation of Theta Fondo 8, the Company’s Board of Directors has chosen to once again support two foundations engaged in the assistance of children and young people, with the aim of promoting and accelerating their collaboration in the field of disability care.
The Maria Letizia Verga Committee Association, founded in 1979, dedicates its work to children with leukemia and their families. The Committee follows all activities from research, to treatment and assistance and is considered to all intents and purposes a public hospital.
The Association offers children with leukemia and lymphoma being treated at the Maria Letizia Verga Center – Monza and Brianza Foundation for the Child and his Mother – the most advanced research, the most qualified medical and psycho-social assistance in order to guarantee them the highest chances of recovery and the best quality of life.
Thanks to the progress made by research, today more than 85% of children with leukemia or lymphoma recover, compared to 30% in 1979.
Ariel Foundation, founded in 2003 with the support of the Humanitas Foundation, is one of the foundations whose statutory purpose is to carry out or promote scientific research activities to treat children suffering from infantile cerebral palsy.
The Foundation supports families of children with neuromotor disabilities with medical, social assistance, psychological support and training on issues of interest to parents facing these pathologies.
At the same time, it is also directly involved in medical research to discover new possibilities for improving the results of treatments for childhood neuromotor disorders.
Per un periodo di 5 anni dall’Avvio dell’Operatività il Fondo versa una percentuale del Totale Ammontare Sottoscritto a favore dell’Associazione Comitato Maria Letizia Verga e della Fondazione Ariel.
